Interact with your vehicle via smartphone using the Alfa Romeo app¹⁶, smartphone, smartwatch or voice service. Remote operations allow you to check if the doors and the trunk are opened or closed, lock and unlock the doors, turn the lights on and off and find your vehicle in a parking lot.​

The Vehicle Performance Package helps you monitor the general health and status of your Tonale at any time and from anywhere.

Check the fuel level, the odometer and receive direct notifications for the maintenance or repair of your Tonale directly from the infotainment system, the Alfa Romeo mobile app¹⁷, your smartwatch voice assistants or from the internet web portal.

Get real-time information about traffic, weather and speed cameras along any journey. Navigation also includes Parking and Fuel Station Finder and Dynamic Range Mapping¹⁸ to help make sure you always have the fuel to get where you need to go. All maps are automatically updated over the air.

Theft Alarm Alert feature comes apart of the Safety and Security Package for 10 years. It will send you a push notification on the app in case of suspected attempted theft of your Alfa Romeo Tonale. And, in case of theft, you can speak directly to a dedicated assistance center. After reporting to the police, the system will activate tracking and transmit the vehicle's position.

The star of the lineup in terms of performance and level of electrficiation will be the exclusive Hybrid, boasting Best-in-Class 285 horsepower²³.

The advanced hybrid system combines the 1.3L MultiAir^® Turbo I4 gasoline engine—the most powerful engine in its segment²⁴, which provides traction to the front wheels—with an electric motor connected to the rear wheels.

This gives the Alfa Romeo Tonale the fastest 0-60 mph time of just 6.2 seconds²⁵.

The Hybrid version will be equipped with Q4 all-wheel drive for an unparalleled level of control and driving pleasure. The Tonale Q4 will be the most efficient Hybrid C-SUV, with range in electric mode of up to 51 miles in the city cycle and over 42 miles in the combined cycle. The Tonale offers dual solutions for smooth, efficient charging. The Level 1 (120V) system uses a simple household outlet to fully recharge your vehicle in 8+ hours. The available Level 2 Charger (240V)³¹ is user-friendly while offering a faster charge than the Level 1, completely charging the vehicle’s battery in about 2.5 hours.

Natural and instinctive, precise and direct, Tonale leads the C-SUV with the most direct steering ratio of 13.6. Combined with advanced front-wheel suspension systems, it redefines how an SUV should feel on the road.

Alfa Romeo Tonale has Class Exclusive four-piston Brembo MonoBloc Brakes. Innovation and performance, mechanics and electronics, all come together to provide increased brake responsiveness on the road and the best brake pedal feeling.


This system allows you to maximize energy regeneration​ with zero vibration and shortened stopping distances.​ ​Overall braking performance is enhanced by the adoption of fixed calipers by Brembo, with four pistons and self-ventilated discs at the front and full discs at the rear.

The Tonale features the latest of intelligent suspension systems. The Dual Stage Valve System adapts to road conditions and driving behavior in milliseconds

Choose between Comfort or Sport and experience how a special valve and piston independently regulate the electronic shock absorbers and dampers. These two suspension modes are selectable within the three driving modes, Advanced Efficiency and Normal with Comfort, for a smooth ride on nearly any surface. In contrast, the Dynamic Driving Mode calibrates the sport suspension for increased handling through turns and an enhanced sporty feel.​

Alfa Romeo Tonale has achieved Level 2 Assisted driving thanks to a front-mounted camera to monitor the vehicle's surroundings, laterally and longitudinally in combination with three other systems: Intelligent Speed Control³⁷, Standard Lane Keep Assist³⁷, Standard Traffic Sign Information³⁸. These features assist in keeping the vehicle at the correct speed, in the center of its lane, greatly reducing the possibility of collisions, while checking the vehicle’s surroundings in congested traffic where accidents often occur.

Blind Spot Monitoring³⁹ with Rear Cross Path Detection⁴⁰ visually and audibly warns drivers when another vehicle is in or approaching their blind spot. Rear Cross Path Detection is activated when the Tonale is moving in reverse. The system helps alert drivers of oncoming traffic when backing out of parking spaces or during other reduced visibility situations.

Our LaneSense® Lane Keep Assist System⁴² helps prevent potential accidents by regularly monitoring vehicle position in relation to lane lines. In addition to providing tactile, audible and visual alerts for drivers, the system can actively adjust and help correct vehicle placement if unintentional lane departure is detected.

Intelligent Speed Control⁴³ helps enable drivers to maintain a set speed with ease. By using built-in cameras and scanners, the system observes the road ahead for traffic sign markers, then recommends to drivers the appropriate speed adjustment if necessary.

Advanced capability systems like Forward Collision Warning with Full Stop⁴⁴ helps mitigate potential hazards using proximity sensors to scan the road ahead. When the system detects a likely frontal collision, brakes are applied simultaneously as the driver is alerted with visual and audible warnings.

By leveraging advanced technology, our Rear Seat Reminder Alert offers next-level solutions in passenger protection. The system turns on when the rear doors are opened and closed. After a driver reaches their destination, puts the vehicle in park and shuts off the engine, an audible chime and a visual reminder will then appear on the 12.3-inch Digital Instrument Cluster—prompting the driver to check if someone or something is still occupying the rear seats.
